The researchers found that people who had FIT testing done every year had a 33% lower chance of dying from colorectal cancer and a 42% lower risk of getting left colon and rectum cancers. FIT screening also lowered the odds of colorectal cancer death in non-Hispanic Asian, non-Hispanic Black, and non-Hispanic White people.
