The Southern California soccer player grew up adoring Kobe Bryant, collecting jerseys and sneakers bearing his name, and credited a chance encounter with the NBA star for changing his life. Former Minnesota United midfielder Miguel Ibarra met his childhood idol Kobe Bryant in a chance encounter in a training room when Ibarra attended college in California.
