A century-old building with a rich Hollywood history was named a monument. Then it went up in flames

On the outskirts of downtown Los Angeles, a century-old building once home to an iconic steakhouse that became an Old Hollywood favorite went up in flames. Just last year, it had officially become an LA historic cultural monument.
