Large algae bloom forms off coast of Santa Monica

SANTA MONICA, Calif. (KABC) -- If you're looking for that picture perfect beach day off the coast of Santa Monica, you may have to look farther down. That brown, muddy water is due to a large algae bloom, expanding from the Santa Monica pier all the way to Marina del Rey.
