Long Beach man dragged 84-year-old to alley as he tried to sexually assault her, Santa Monica police say

A 39-year-old Long Beach man has been arrested on suspicion of trying to sexually assault an 84-year-old woman in a Santa Monica alley, according to police. Officers responded around 9:30 p.m. on June 5 to the area of Sixth Street and Wilshire Boulevard after reports of a woman screaming for help, according to the Santa Monica Police Department.
