Santa Monica Police Prepare For Possible Election Day Unrest

In Santa Monica, 220 businesses were damaged and 76 were looted on May 31, with much of the damage in the downtown area, Deadline reports. Santa Monica Police Chief Jacqueline Seabrooks said residents can be expected to see " increased uniform presence throughout our community" through the Halloween weekend and Election Day.
