The National Park Service (NPS) has selected Jody Lyle as the new permanent superintendent of Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area (SMMNRA) beginning July 28, 2024.  Lyle first started working with the NPS in 1992 as an environmental educator for Joshua Tree National Park.
